The Kenmare Stone Circle

Stone circles were built during the Bronze Age (2000 - 200 BC) and the Kenmare Stone is the biggest example of over 100 circles that exit in TH south west of Irland.  They were believed to be built for ritual and ceremonial purposes and some studies indicated that they were oriented on certain lunar and solar events such as the position of the sun.  It's a money marker, but Hawthorne trees are planted and used to tie wishes on them for those of Irish heritage.  Since way back I can claim to be descended from the McIntyes of Gallway, I wrote a wish that will come true before the wish blows off!
